Adventures, stories from Emma’s global journeys.
Emma travels the world 🌍 Emma (my beautiful niece) was tragically taken from our family on January 27, 2022.
Our family is still struggling in deep grief over the sudden and brutal loss of our beloved Emma.
It’s inconceivable that in broad daylight someone you love (Emma) could walk out the door and would and was the last time we would see Emma alive.
However, this is not about Emma’s death but rather about her life that was cut short (20 years old). Emma had plans including traveling to Hawaii (a place she loved) with her family and bigger plans to travel the world. She loved Japan and was fortunate to travel there in high school.
Emma travels the world/website is in honor of Emma and her adventurous and effervescent spirit.
Shortly after Emma’s death my mother who is also an artist painted me some rocks with Emma on them for me to take on my travels and leave in beautiful places Emma would have loved to visit. There are many Emma rocks in Italy including a very special place in my heart. My hope was that people would find the rocks and disperse them on their travels and Emma would see the world.
Sometimes I would return to that special spot and see Emma’s rock was still there.
By creating Emma travels the world I hope people will take Emma with them and her spirit will continue to Iive on.
I know Emma has the best view in heaven and can look down on us all. By logging on to Emma travels the world you can log your numbered rocks final destination, and we can add it to Emma’s passport in heaven.
The rocks are all painted blue in honor of Emma’s favorite color and the color of her hair when she departed from this world.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow, I am the sun on ripened grain.
I am the gentle Autumn rain
When you awaken in the mornings hush
I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds circled in flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there.
I did not die. - Clare Harner
